The Kryptonite Sparks
BIO
Sonic explorers, The Kryptonite Sparks are an incandescent power-trio, an eclectic combination of indie, alternative and hard rock, with influences from Cream, Arctic Monkeys, Foals, Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd.
With their first breath in 2013, the band began their activity in Bucharest after Călin Răzvan Diaconu and Rareș Diaconu returned from the ICMP performance faculty in London. In 2015 they released their sophomore material Doi // A Doua Undă de Bruiaj, the beginning of their relationship with music producer Adrian Despot. Single excerpts followed such as Și Golanii Beau Ceai, Ești, Ne Ascundem and I/N/T/E/R/L/O/C/U/T/O/R/ which enjoy heavy rotation on Radio Guerrilla and TANANANA. Since 2022, Ștefan Boriceanu brings his fresh grooves from the Gretsch drum chair. 2024 is a busy year for The Kryptonite Sparks, marked by multiple single releases and promotional tours.
Influenced by the English currents of the 70s, to which are added modern vibes and groove delivered with determination, LIVE is the environment in which The Kryptonite Sparks reveal their full potential. Live versions of the songs intertwine with visuals and scenography in a complete and engaging show.
