PAUL PINTILIE
Paul Pintilie (b. 1990, Rădăuți) is a composer and lecturer (PhD) at the “George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași, where he teaches harmony, musical composition, and choral arrangements. He graduated from the “O. Băncilă” National College of Arts (piano major) and the Composition Department of UNAGE Iași, where he obtained his PhD in Music in 2019.
His artistic formation was shaped by collaborations with professors such as Wolfram Wagner, Péter Szegő, Cristian Misievici, and Viorel Munteanu. His compositions range from solo and chamber works to symphonic scores, including Missa Harmonis, Aproape de Soare, and Mustața lui Dali și alte culori. He has also written music for theatre, pop, and jazz.
Recently, he signed a contract with the American production company Sailor’s Eye Productions to compose the original score for four films. Passionate about jazz and pop, he has performed at dedicated festivals and shared the stage with international artists such as Jennifer Batten, Sam Sims, Smokie, and Scorpions.
