Rocanotherworld, one of Romania’s leading festivals of music, art, and ideas, will host Rocanotherworld Dialogues 2026 between 19–21 June 2026—a series of public conversations exploring topics relevant to local communities and the contemporary cultural landscape. The events will take place in Palas Gardens, Iași, are open to the public, and admission is free.
On Friday, 19 June 2026, starting at 3:00 PM, Palas Gardens will host the discussion “How Do We Support Young Artists? The Role of Young People in Supporting Their Own Generation.” Organized in partnership with Alecart, the conversation will explore the challenges faced by emerging artists—including musicians, writers, visual artists, and performers—as well as the responsibility of communities, institutions, and audiences in supporting them. Topics will include access to resources, visibility, arts education, and the integration of culture into young people’s lives.
The speakers will include Paul Tihan (musician), the band Missed Call (Radu Săndulescu, Răzvan Nica, Cosmin Gafițescu), Ioana Popa, Maria Oglinzanu, and Adela-Maria Roșca (Alecart editorial team). The discussion will be moderated by Emil Munteanu, Alecart coordinator.
On Saturday, 20 June 2026, at 11:00 AM, Palas Gardens will host the dialogue “What Is the Cost of Independence?” The conversation will address the realities of the independent arts scene, the choices artists make every day, and the challenges of building a creative career in a constantly evolving cultural environment.
The panel will feature Vlad Alui Gheorghe (musician, Adam’s Nest), Andrei Cozlac (video artist and lecturer at the George Enescu National University of Arts Iași), Cristina Dima (musician), Georgea Dura (visual artist), and Alin Pandaru (vlogger and performer with Emo Reunion). The discussion will be moderated by journalist Violeta Cincu.
On Sunday, 21 June 2026, at 11:00 AM, Palas Gardens will host the third dialogue, “The Friendly City.” This conversation will focus on the cities we are building today and the ones we hope to live in tomorrow. Guests will discuss what makes a city truly supportive of artists, festivals, and the creative sector—a city that not only hosts cultural events for a few days each year, but also provides the conditions necessary for artistic creation, cultural production, and a thriving creative life throughout the year.
The speakers will include Roxana Patricia Brohanschi (Co-founder and Festival Director of Rocanotherworld), Otilia Chitic (interior designer), Bogdan Cotîrță (artist with Melting Dice and co-founder of Muzicon Timișoara), Raluca Manoliu (architect), and Mihai Pricop (specialist inspector, Iași City Hall). The discussion will be moderated by Alexandrina Dinga, founder of Asociația Civica.

Rocanotherworld is an exploratory festival of music, art, thoughts, people, and ideas, founded in Iași in 2016 in memory of Ioan Dan Niculescu and organized by Asociația Industrii Creative and Showberry. It represents a collective journey, a state of mind, a celebration of life through reconnecting with shared values, a vibrant cultural experience, and a way of being—curious, different, and for others.
Asociația Industrii Creative organizes both Rocanotherworld and Classix Festival in Iași, with the mission of revitalizing the city’s cultural life, engaging creative communities, and encouraging civic participation through initiatives that promote a proactive, contributive, and participatory spirit.
Showberry is a startup and winner of the “Invest in People!” programme. Since 2015, it has developed cultural and creative projects and has become one of the leading promoters of public concerts and themed events in North-Eastern Romania. Since 2016, it has co-organized Rocanotherworld and, since 2020, Classix Festival alongside Asociația Industrii Creative.
