Organizers announce the dates of the next edition

Rocanotherworld, the festival that brings people together through the power of shared values, took place between June 19–22, 2025, in the panoramic location of Gramma Wines – Bârnova, Iași. The recently concluded edition marked an emblematic moment in the festival’s existence: celebrating a decade of music, art and community – and throughout this time, Rocanotherworld has become a cultural movement that year after year brings together alternative music, visual arts and civic engagement in a space dedicated to curiosity, diversity and solidarity.
The festival organizers announce the dates of the next edition: it will take place between June 19 and 21, 2026, at Gramma Wines – Bârnova, Iași. The first super early bird tickets have been put on sale online, at special prices.
Founded from the desire to celebrate the life and legacy of Ioan Dan Niculescu, Rocanotherworld has grown organically, becoming a landmark event in the Romanian cultural landscape. The festival attracts thousands of participants from all over the country and abroad every year, being recognized for its unique atmosphere, sustainable organization and loyal community. United by the three values that guide the festival, #becurious, #bedifferent and #beforothers, participants enjoyed live concerts, DJ sets, recreational and educational activities, silent disco, yoga and meditation sessions, a series of dialogues on contemporary themes and many other related activities.
On the three stages of the festival, the following performed: Villagers [IE], Zdob și Zdub[MD], Bedouin Soundclash[CA], Vița de Vie, The Mono Jacks, byron & Classix Quartet, Omul cu Șobolani, Partizan, Toulouse Lautrec, Pinholes, The Kryptonite Sparks, E-AN-NA, Cuibul[MD], Dl Goe, Claro Que No, Photons[FR], Îngeli și Corbi, Gala[UA], Charlie the Rabbit King, Emo Reunion, Eduard Draude, Cristu, Spacenoodles, Amivers, Alien and Donisan.
Rocanotherworld is more than a music festival – it’s a creative, educational and inclusive space, inspired by the idea of community and social responsibility.
The mission to be a festival as sustainable and environmentally friendly as possible included various steps, including: ambient lighting from alternative energy sources (solar panels), encouraging participants to use alternative transportation (electric buses provided with the support of the Iași Public Transport Company), ride sharing services, as well as the use of bicycles; eliminating plastic and reducing cardboard in the bar area by introducing reusable glasses, selective waste collection and recycling of packaging with a guarantee with the support of PENNY Romania, as well as reusing signage and printing posters on recycled cardboard.
With the support of the main partner, Banca Transilvania, participants benefited from a 20% discount when purchasing subscriptions and tickets with a BT card, and during the festival they could enjoy a specially arranged area with various activities and lounge areas.
Among the initiatives supported annually by Rocanotherworld is the collection of food and products for stray furries in Iași shelters – “Do you have a blanket?“, and this year the kind-hearted people of Iași donated 370 kg of food, 300 lei, sandbags, chlorine and other cleaning products, blankets and toys.
In the spirit of #beforothers, the organizers announce that they will soon have new news regarding the support of artists at the beginning of their journey, in a project carried out at the end of this summer.
The Rocanotherworld Dialogues took place at the Palas Gardens on June 21 and 22. Addressing themes ranging from the relevance of cultural journalism, to the power of local crafts, to the collective memory built through ten festival editions, the voices of the guests outlined a vivid landscape of involvement, resistance, and collaboration. Rocanotherworld is an exploratory festival of music, art, thoughts, people and ideas, which was born in Iași in 2016, in memoriam Ioan Dan Niculescu, and is organized by the Creative Industries Association and Showberry. It represents a collective journey, a state of mind, a celebration of life through (re)connection to values, a cultural effervescence and a shaping of the way of being – curious, different and for others.
The Creative Industries Association is the organizer of the Rocanotherworld and Classix festivals in Iași, aiming at the cultural revitalization of the city, the engagement of creative communities and the involvement in the civil life of society through actions that promote a proactive, contributory and participatory spirit.
Showberry is a winning startup of the Invest in People! program. Since 2015, it has been developing cultural and creative projects, being one of the main promoters of public concerts and thematic events in the northeastern region of Romania. Since 2016, he has been a co-organizer of the Rocanotherworld festival and since 2020 of the Classix Festival, together with the Creative Industries Association.
